Gen 1 Laser Cutting was founded by husband and wife – Shaun and Crystal out of Houston, Texas. The name Gen 1 was chosen as Shaun and Crystal are the first generation in their family to own and operate a metal fabrication business. Gen 1 is only the beginning and their hopes are to keep the business in the family for generations to come.

 

Shaun has always been fascinated with anything that has a motor. He built his first CNC plasma table in 2020, completed a second, larger build in 2021, and in 2022 was able to purchase a 6kw CNC fiber laser.

The purchase of a CNC laser was a game changer for Gen 1. CNC laser cutting allows for precision and quality cuts. Gen 1 is proficient in cutting both aluminum and steel. In addition to offering precision laser cutting, Gen 1 also offers bending and deburring to meet your metal fabrication needs.
